Important message to LMA parents

I am concerned that still very few parents spend "precious time" with their children listening to classical music.( Despite weekly reminders) Music education is not just practicing daily and taking lessons once a week. Together, you must school your listening skills, you must inform yourself about the different styles in Western Music, its composers and build some fluency in recognizing them. You must enjoy some conversations with your child forming opinions and later preferences. You will also learn about difference instruments and their sound. The cost of this is about a RELAXING half hour, best before bed time. Use the wonderful radio channel of Cincinnati Radio, listed on the front page.  It is a wonderful starting point! You will see your child's test scores going up, also verbal communication and reasoning skills.
